With a career spanning more than three decades, Garren Isaac Smith brings a diverse background in music, entertainment production, artist management, and live-event promotion to Meta MoJo.

Raised in the rich musical traditions of the American South, Garren’s roots run deep in country, bluegrass, and gospel music. His family connections include the legendary Sullivan Family Bluegrass Gospel Singers, whose musical legacy helped shape the early career of country music icon Marty Stuart. That heritage provided Garren with an early appreciation for the artistry, relationships, and traditions that define American roots music.

Garren began working in live entertainment at just 15 years old, gaining hands-on experience in stage production and event coordination alongside performers including Marty Stuart, Andy Griggs, and Marty Raybon of Shenandoah.

Over the years, his career has expanded into artist development, management, songwriting, publishing, and concert promotion. His professional experience includes managing MCA/Universal recording artist Ashton Shepherd, American Idol and The Voice contestant Kayleigh Clark, and metal band Tiwanaku. He has also worked in concert promotion involving country artist Jamey Johnson and live production with Jeff Bates.

Beyond the music industry, Garren has built an impressive background in film and television, gaining valuable experience both in front of and behind the camera. He has made appearances in numerous major film and television productions, including NCIS: New Orleans, Roots, The Purge, Quarry, Zoo, Geostorm, The Big Short, Daddy’s Home, Terminator Genisys, Free State of Jones, and Deepwater Horizon.

In addition to his on-screen appearances, Garren has contributed to entertainment productions as a crew member, with experience in background acting and occasional small speaking roles. His work also includes reported voice-over contributions to Free State of Jones. This diverse involvement has provided him with firsthand knowledge of the creative and operational sides of the entertainment industry.

A BMI-affiliated songwriter, composer, and publisher, Garren understands the music business from multiple perspectives—as a musician, creative professional, manager, promoter, and production specialist. His experience allows him to recognize not only the artistic potential of emerging talent but also the business infrastructure and professional relationships necessary to support a sustainable career.
